Hoop House....

So, recently we've been working on a hoop house, and I thought I would share it with you!

Our hoop house is a huge blessing, it's 12' by 12', and is very sturdy! At first we weren't sure it would get warm enough for anything to grow, but it's quite humid in there.
Here are some pics of when we first started.

We used pallet wood for the beds and the base.

The only things we bought were the PVC pipes, the plastic, and the screws!

We took some gravel from our driveway and poured  it in here, for the walk way.

We did one horseshoe shaped bed around the house, and one bed in the middle.

Here's some pics of the finished product and of us planting stuff.  :)

This is the door, or more like the flap to get in. :)

The beds with little seeds, who've gone to sleep.
 Planting....
 Planting...
Trying to figure out were to plant...

So far we've planted lettuce, spinach, garlic, carrots, beets,
bell peppers, peas, and squash. And we all ready have lettuce and pea sprouts!  And I'm sure we will plant more stuff, 12' by 12' is more than you think!

Like I said before, this is a huge blessing!
It only took 50 bucks to make, the pallets were free, its very sturdy and warm!
The main reason we built this is so we would have, not just food, but healthy food, and food the way God intended, through the winter. You know, without pesticides and other poisonous chemicals. But no matter what, whether you spray your plants or not, water your plants daily or not, God is always the one who makes them grow.
1 Corinthians 3:7 "So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."

I love this verse, its so true! Hope you enjoyed seeing this! And who knows, maybe some day you will make your own hoop house!

Fall {Fun}!

Hi everyone!
How was your weekend? We had a wonderful one! We went to our friends house, shot some guns and had a cookout. We were having so much fun that we forgot to take pictures of our outfits! Here are some pics of what we did:

Getting ready for the pumpkin roll race...

Us girls shooting the AR 15. It was quite the hit! Poor Hagen was our photographer, so we didn't get any pictures of her shooting!

A creepy house we went exploring through...
Water flowing out of the spring house.

 That's one good looking group!

Being crazy after playing Hay bale Hide-n-Seek!

A beautiful ending to a wonderful day!
God is good to bless us with such wonderful friends!
Praying you have a wonderful week,
Blessings- Layla & Hagen

The Great Skirt Challenge

We have enjoyed this fun time of creating cute and modest outfits! Here are some things we learned...

  • Weather you wear skirts or not, Always please The Lord,   NOT man.
  •  You Can look stylish and modest! You Don't have to be frumpy to be modest. Look Cute, look Happy, look Bright!
  • Also, you don't have to always accessorize, but it does make your outfit look Cuter! From belts to bags, it can always help your outfit come together!
  • And if maybe you're down and out, or not feeling confident in yourself, put on a Cute outfit! It will always make you feel better.  "Put on your Sunday clothes, there's lots of World out there!" ~ Hello Dolly
  •   If your skirt is a little too short, leggings are a great way to keep it modest! And sometimes neon pink leggings work! ;)
  • Bottoms are only half of being modest... shirts play a part in your outfit, too. It's important to remember to cover your chest! Tanks are a great fix to a low shirt.
  • And last, but not least, be your own style, there's only one You!
We hope you have enjoyed witnessing this Challenge and being here for us. On the days we felt like giving up, you were the reason we kept going! That means you, Abby and Rebekah C.

I'm sad to say it, but here I go...
It's the last day of our Skirt Challenge, and this is what we wore:

Hagen wore a plain red shirt and a homemade skirt. You can see all of the little embellishments that bring this outfit together, like her necklace, hair clip, and the birds on her skirt.
