Fabulous Fall

Fabulous Fall

Fabulous Fall by layla-wilbanks featuring high heels

Hey there!
Here's a fall outfit I created...
I love all the different colors, but I'm not sure how they work.
Do you think this outfit is cute, or too busy?
Blessings, Layla

  1. Hmm...a tad bit wild :) You had a definite pattern going with the skirt, earrings, hairdo, and tights, but the highheels, blouse, bolero, and bag are in their own class. The pink theme is very pastel like, and spring-y, while the rest is a passionate summer return. Try to think of colours as being either hot or cold, chilly, or warm. When one envisions autumn, the mind recalls warm colours with a hint of winter nip trying to surface. That is where you can bring in a frosted green, or a deep red with hints of white-- indicating ice or cold.
An outfit has a genre, and a profile. Follow the statement piece. If the skirt is the predominant item, then center the rest of the outfit around that item, complimenting the personality-- or even manipulating the lack of style. Just remember that when in doubt, go for simple. Take something ordinary, and make it shine by enhancing it. :)
Otherwise, I love the fact that you are very expressive and adventurous with your choices. :)

    1. Hi Rebekah!
Thank you for your incite... did you do the Reclaiming Beauty weminar? You sound a lot like the Botkin sisters!

You are right, I am pretty free willed in my choice of clothing! =)
I am in TN, and have been working a lot, so I apologize for not writing you lately! I pray you are well!

    2. Actually, I am just a clothing nerd with a love for orderliness and coordination...the Webinar is not something I participated in. But I love to learn about how to appear free and feminine in my choices, while taking myself a step beyond the ordinary.
And PLEASE do not worry about writing...I enjoy hearing from you whenever you have free time. :)
      Smiles,
      Rebekah
