A Walk through the Garden

I promise you. We are still alive. And doing very well! We didn't mean to desert you, but life happens sometimes.
We've been so busy.
Babysitting.
    Playing in the church band.
          Swimming.
Laundry. (Which takes awhile because the dryer broke.)
Going to lots of cook outs.
And of course gardening.
       Lots and lots of gardening.

(I decided not to edit any of these)

I love our garden. It is so peaceful and full of life.

The golden hour is made all the more beautiful as the blooming flowers take in the light.

There is a dug out, worn out, foot path, weaving between the beds.
But I still almost get lost.
It's a good lost. Lost in the green. Lost in the dirt.

And Oh! the feeling you get after a long day of hard work in the sunshine!
And being able to see the fruit of your labor!

"The earth has music for those who listen."

I admit. There are weeds. But the weeds are also beautiful.

A New Blog....

Hello lovleys! How are you this fine Autumn day? The leaves have changed and the air is crisp and cool....
Speaking of Autumn I just did a post on my new blog about Autumn.
                                                        New Blog?!?!?
Yes, a new blog. A new photography blog to be exact!  I have been working on it for a while but couldn't get it quite right, but many thanks to Layla for getting it just how I envisioned!

But enough chit chat! Go check it out!

Sam + Theresa

Yesterday two people joined together, they left their families and started a new one. And they wanted me to photograph their special day! I was so nervous and it was my first time to photograph a wedding but the whole thing was so beautiful so they made it easy for me... Plus Theresa is my aunt and she really encouraged me.
It was a real good country wedding with cowboy boots, barbeque, and brown curls.
Here's just a sample of it all...

 Arriving!

 Nervous!

Walking down the isle... Dad gave her away!

 The Kiss!

 Bride&Groom

The veil...

I just couldn't not post this!

Well that's just a sample, what do you think? Any good? They are really happy with the photos, so I'm happy!

Love,
Hagen

I ♥ Thursday {No. 10}

It's Thursday, thursday...
Okay, I won't go there...

Here are just a few things we have been loving/doing for the past few weeks:

First off, let's start with chocolate, because chocolate deserves to come first. Enjoy Life is our favorite brand of chocolate, it's allergen free, so we can all enjoy it!

Second comes books and the library. We love going to the library and diving into a good book, like this one...

"The Watch That Ends The Night" by Allan Wolf is an amazing book we both recently finished. I have to say it is one of the best Titanic books I have read!

The beach, of course! When we went last weekend, the waves were full of jellyfish. Arrg, those jellyfish just float around looking cute and harmless, and when you least expect it, ZAP!

Writing and receiving letters from our long-distance friends is awesome! It makes you feel close, when it seems like you are a million miles away...

Collecting shells has become a fun hobby of ours. You never know what things you will find that have been washed ashore...

And just loving the big state of Texas!

What have you been loving?
So, are you ready for the first day of Summer tomorrow? According to the heat here, we thought it already was Summer!
Blessings,

Picture Post

I desperately wanted to do a blog post, but to be honest, I had no idea what to post about. But, of course, it hit me. I ought to just do a picture post! You know how I am...

I'll start with a few amazing photos of our beautiful Texas sky...

The other day there was a beautiful rainbow, but what was even more beautiful about it was that God sent it and reminded us of His promise before the rain came! Isn't that extraordinary? Just another reminder of His great love for us!
I can't help but feel like I over-did the editing on this it, but I couldn't bring myself to undo it. What do you think?

Again the Lord showing His mighty hand through His creation!

 Marvelous...

I like that you can see the family over in the background in this one and how tall the clovers look!

 Vine-ing branches...

 Rustic wood...

We've been calling this flower,
 "The Mad Hatter's Hat," and,
"The flower from Wonderland!"
Anyone have any idea what this flower is called?
Whatever it is, it is fabulous!

 Rainy day reading...
(Photo courtesy to Layla on that one.)

Baby O and her bright blue eyes!

Okay, so obviously, Olivia likes blackberries! :)

 Miniature sand dunes...

 Layla & I.

 Trees...

 ...Trees...

...And, more trees! I love them, so many different kinds. One's bark might be jagged and course, and others smooth. Some leaves thick and glossy, and others thin and brittle.
I. Am. A. Tree. Hugger.

Baby O just so happens to be a tree hugger also...

...And loves gazing at the sky...
(Can you tell who she gets it from?)

Well, I do believe it is getting late...
I trust you enjoyed these pictures, yes?
Have pleasant dreams and a great Thursday!
Blessings,
Hagen

Spring...

Spring is here in Texas! It is so beautiful!
The grass is green and lush,
and speckled with pretty wild flowers!

Eli and I. Yeah, we're crazy...

Reflections of Layla in a puddle of spring rain...
Isn't this little guy the cutest pony you have ever set eyes on?!? He is right across from our RV so we get to pet him quite often! :)

 Guitar at the beach...

Primrose... They are so beautiful and this would be an awesome pic if it wasn't for that blurry blade of grass right in front!

Look at that beautiful bright Texas sunshine!

 Sunset...

 Twisted vines...

Well folks, That's all for now...
I hope you enjoyed these pictures! :)
Have an awesome Wednesday!
Blessings, Hagen
