DIY: Lace Storage

Hello dearies!
Like I said in the previous post, we have been quite busy this last week. All this warmer weather is making me want to spring clean! One of the major things we have done is completely rearrange our bedroom and sewing area. I am very happy with the way everything is coming along!

And guess what? It's DIY time! After going through bags and bags of sewing notions, I had to find ways to organize it all in a cute and simple fashion. I thought I would share with you how I organized our lace collection!

It's super simple and quick (depending on how much lace you have acquired!), and not to mention that it looks super cute too! It's as easy as 1-2-3-4!

1. Tape It! Use a small piece of tape to secure the lace to the popsicle stick, making it easier for step 2.

2. Wrap It! Wrap, wrap, wrap. It's as easy as that!

3. Pin It! Use a sewing pin to secure your wrapped lace in place.

4. Display It! Put your lace in anything you like, an old mason jar, a basket, a bowl. Get creative!

And there you have it! I hope this post inspires you in your spring cleaning. It is a lot easier for me to get crafty now that I know where everything is! Are you a crafty person?
Love from,
Layla

What She Wore Wednesdays~ Country Dress

Dear Readers...
Please forgive us!!
We have not done what we said we would do...

But... I am going to make it up to you!!

This fine Wednesday
Layla wore a duper cute country dress that one of our good friends, Kaelyn from Farm Girl Fashion,
   made for Layla's Birth Day!

And when she paired it with her combat boots,
it really set it of!

Ain't she so cute? :)

The dress was just a tad to big...
so she tailored it a bit...
and added some elastic to the sleeves to make them puffy!

 I really like this one...
the wind was blowing just right!

Dress- made by friend  $0
Boots- army surplus store $25
Headband- homemade $0

I Love this outfit!!
What are your thoughts?

I will be posting Matilda next, so don't go away!!

Blessings~ Hagen

My dear friend, Sarah, has this adorable blog, All Things Vintage. I met Sarah while I was volunteering at Above Rubies. Her friendship has also been a wonderful blessing to my life. I love her style and craftiness!

I love being able to see the happenings in my friends lives through their blogs!

Baby O is One!

Our sweet baby sister, Olivia Jane turned One this week! She is such a sweet and smart little girl. I can't believe she's already one, but at the same time I can't believe she is only one!

She really enjoyed her Gluten Free Brownie Cupcakes (which are the bomb!) You can see the sugar setting in! Of course I made her a set of matching shoes and hat! She did a little modeling for me!

Hagen made her an adorable onesie dress! I think she should sell them in the shop.

Of course she got presents from Mom and Dad, but we didn't get pictures. Here's one of Olivia enjoying her Birthday card from her Grandparents!
Isn't she adorable?!

Olivia, you are such a blessing to our family and I couldn't imagine our lives with you! Children are a Blessing from The Lord! -Layla

Hey all! We've been working hard on getting products made for the shop. Here's what we've been up to...

I've been working on newborn size booties for boys and girls, crocheted nests and eggs(which need a bit of work) and ... HATS!! Hagen made that adorable iPhone case made from handmade felt! And all of the yarn I've been using is from my birthday. Aren't they great colors? Having a shop is such hard work (wink, wink)! Happy Crafting! -Layla
