Video Friday {No. 2}

Hello everyone! It's Friday, are you ready for our next video? I know the day is almost over, but I was having some serious technical difficulties!

This video we would like to share is a tour of our farm in the winter. Now, we don't have a full fledged farm, just a micro-farm. We actually farm off of .48 of an acre!

We are posting two videos this week, because a few things happened after our first video, and thought you should know about it!

Now, without further adieu, we present to you our Farm Tour.
Enjoy!

And the update video...

Just so you know, the fours hens are still alive and are building immunities. The keifer water is really helping! I finally figured out how to tell the difference in a boy and girl rabbit, so Marshmallow is actually a girl!

Hope you enjoy this little tour! There will be loads more videos once Spring comes and we start working in the garden again!
Blessings,
Layla & Hagen

I ♥ Thursday {No. 4}

Happy Thursday Everyone! Here's what we are loving this week...

Hagen's ♥'s

This week I've been loving my black flats. They go with pretty much everything :)

My sister, Matilda, and I curled our hair with these, and we loved it!

I started reading this book and I highly recommend it for all young women!

For Christmas Mom and Dad bought me a drawing course book and sketch pencils!

Layla's ♥'s

French braided up-do's. I'm thinking of doing a video on all of my favorite french braided hair style's, what do you think?

Bunnies! Yes, this is one of ours. :)

Vintage circus photos, because I've been helping my Mom with her blog, Notes From The Circus !

The Henningsens... my new favorite country band! They are a wonderful family with ten children. When I was at the Campbell's, Rashida and Meadow where so excited that they made it on the radio because they are all good friends!

Hope you are having a great week! Are you looking forward to tomorrow's video? I sure am!
Blessings,
Layla & Hagen

Farm Update!

Hello dear friends!
I'd like to give you little update on our tiny farm!

The Lord never ceases to surprise me! Our momma rabbit gave birth to 5 tiny bunnies on October 17th, which would have been Max's first birthday! (If you haven't read his story yet, you can here)

One day old...

 One week old...
The runt didn't make it :(

Two weeks old, and eyes are open!
It was their first venture outside.

Aren't they so sweet?
Now, on to the chicks!

We bought these chicks in hope of having lots of eggs to sell at the Farmers Market in the spring!

Venturing out...

Psalm 104:24- How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

I love all of these sweet babies! God's creation is so wonderful... just think. We live in a sin cursed world, with death and destruction, yet it is so marvelous and intriguing! Try to imagine a world with out sin, death, destruction, or bad leaders... that is what Heaven will be like! And we will glorify Him forever!

What is your favorite creature?
Blessings, Layla

Thank you to Hagen for the great pictures!

Rabbits!

Since we can't have goats, we decided to switch to rabbits!(and, their called bucks and does too!!)
We got two bucks and three does, each of us kids got to name one!
We are so blessed by these rabbits, we got three for free, along with three cages, three water bottles and a little feed! Isn't that a huge blessing?!?!
And they are all so sweet!!

This is little Thumper. Layla named him.  :)

This is Peanut Butter Cup. I named her.  :)
We have not bread her yet, she's a little to young.

And Gabe named this (not so little) rabbit Belka. Not to sure where he got the name!
This doe and...

Matilda named this doe Strawberry. She's the feisty one!
this doe are both pregnant! Baby rabbits next month!!

Eli named this little guy Tiger. :)

Aren't they just so cute! Peanut and Thumper are the best! And they were only $10! :)
I'm really excited about getting into the rabbit business, we are breeding them for meat.
We are planning on using their skin for bags, blankets, and other things.
Just keep in mind I said "planning!" :)
   Well gotta go! Blessings~ Hagen
